Consecration Focus

FOCUS SCRIPTURE: And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my grace is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (2 Cor.12:9 KJV)

“God Has Got You”

WOW! This has been “some kind of week”! Looking at ourselves has awakened a greater consciousness and understanding. An understanding that we still have work to do on ourselves. If you read our focus scripture without knowing the context, you would think that the writer is saying, “I will not pray for healing or try to do better but rather continue on in the condition that I am in because then I can show how powerful God is”. This is not the case! Paul is saying that there is something in me that I really don’t want and I’ve prayed and prayed and God hasn’t relieved me YET!

On Monday we were told to “Look Into The Mirror” and list the things that we are and then list the things that God Is. Then on Tuesday we were to list the things that we KNOW about God and then list the things that we WANT to know about Him. Wednesday, we listed what God had spoken to us, about us and our doubts. Yesterday we returned to the mirror to see the wonderful things God has put in us.

Today God is telling us that AFTER we have done these things and have genuinely REFLECTED and even REPENTED, that we should not walk around with our heads down and beaten up because God says, “I’ve got you”! “I have shown you who you are to PROVE to you WHO I AM”! “What I have, my GRACE, (that which affords joy, pleasure, delight, sweetness, good will, loving-kindness FAVOR), is ENOUGH FOR YOU”! When you have done ALL that you know to do, God’s grace will COMPLETE His work IN YOU! Now if that doesn’t get you HAPPY!

So my Sisters and Brothers, as we close this time of consecration we will not forget what God has shown us and we may even continue to ADD to our list as He reveals more about us, BUT TODAY...

PRAYER: God, I THANK YOU! Thank you for showing me the real me. Thank you for showing me what I need to know about you. Thank you for revealing my doubts and showing me your promises. Thank you for helping me see the marvelous work that you have created me to be. Father, Thank You. My prayers is that I will remain sensitive to the Holy Spirit and that I will keep myself in check so that I when I look into the mirror, even I will see you looking back at me. I Love you Jesus, and again, THANK YOU....!
